Privacy policy
Last updated 20 August 2026
In short. This is a small business website. It sells nothing online, runs no advertising networks, and builds no profiles of visitors. The only personal information held is what you choose to send when you get in touch or book a session, and it is used only to help you and your dog.
Who is responsible for your information
Lea Mestrovic Dog Training, North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@dogtrainerlea.com or call +1 306 612 2061.
What is collected, and why
- Contact form. Your name, email address, your dog's name and age, the topic you select and the message you write. Used only to reply to you and to prepare for a session.
- Booking calendar. Bookings are handled by Calendly. The name, email address and any details you enter there are processed by Calendly under its own privacy policy, and shared with Lea Mestrovic Dog Training so the appointment can be honoured.
- Email, phone and text. Whatever you choose to send, including any videos of your dog shared between sessions, used to give you training advice.
- Server logs. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to serve the page and protect the site from abuse.
Information is collected on the basis of your consent, which you give by choosing to send it. It is never sold, rented or traded, and is not used for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The Calendly booking calendar on the contact page is embedded from Calendly and may set its own cookies when it loads, which are necessary for the scheduling widget to function. If you would rather not load it, you can book by email or phone instead.
Third-party services
- Calendly for appointment scheduling on the contact page.
- Cloudflare for hosting, delivery and security.
- Formspree for delivering contact form submissions by email.
Each operates under its own privacy policy. Typefaces are served from this site rather than a font network, so no third party receives your details simply because a page loaded.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to one year, then deleted. Records relating to clients, including training notes, are kept for up to seven years so that history is available if you return with the same dog, and to meet Canadian record-keeping expectations for a business. You can ask for your information to be deleted sooner at any time.
How information is protected
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiries and client records is limited to Lea. Payment is taken in person at the end of a session, so no card or banking details are ever entered on or stored by this website.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging training for their own dogs. Personal information is not knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has sent information through this site, contact us and it will be deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Email contact@dogtrainerlea.com and your request will be answered within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in British Columbia to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page. This version was last updated on 20 August 2026.
